Working Principle of Vertical Ring Die Wood Pellet Mill
Vertical ring die wood pellet mill combines both centrifugal force and extrusion pressure to ensures hardness and density of pellets. Pellets is extruded by wood pellet mill from the inside to outside. Ring dies of this wood pellet mill possesses double layer structure. For making different sizes of pellets in one production, you can choose ring dies which contain upper and lower dies with different hole sizes. In order to improve working parts’ service life, you can choose upper and lower dies with the same hole size. Rollers move while ring die remains stable during working condition, rollers compress mixed raw materials into die holes to form into pencil-like extrusions which are then cut by knives into desired length.
Attention: the smaller the pellet, the greater the cost of production, that is because the diameter of holes decide the diameter of pellets, the smaller the die holes the greater effort is required to compress materials into holes, so the greater power is needed.
Advantages about Roller-driven Wood Pellet Mill
As above mentioned rollers spin to compress raw materials through holes and then condensed into wood pellets, there are three advantages to the vertical ring die wood pellet mill. One is that compared with traditional design, the rotating roller has much longer service life–about 2,000 hours.
